January is School Board Appreciation Month
January is School Board Appreciation Month. Here in Avon Schools, we are extremely grateful for the dedication and commitment of our five school board members: President Kim Woodward, Vice President Anne Engelhardt, Secretary Sarah Parent, Cindy Simmons, and Jennifer Smith.
The Avon Board of School Trustees was one of only three school boards in Indiana to receive Exemplary designation by the the Indiana School Board Association. The Exemplary Governance Award is bestowed to school boards that have shown extensive dedication to professional development through commitment to students, school corporation, and community as a result of outstanding leadership and excellence in school board governance.
